Answer: Why Six Sigma?
Six Sigma is a highly disciplined approach that allows us to focus on creating and delivering nearly-perfect products and services. The underlying idea being that if you can measure how many "defects" you have in a process, you can systematically figure out a way to eliminate them and get as close to "zero defects" as possible. This concept is the motivating factor why employers today are increasingly searching for candidates with this type of certification.

Answer: How much does Six Sigma Certification cost?
We offer onsite training for groups, for which the price will be dependent on location and the number of persons. This type of training is normally charged at a daily rate, with a maximum number of delegates per group. For large groups, we offer substantial discounts.

Standard Green Belt courses for DMAIC and LEAN cost approximately R19995 inclusive
Standard Black Belt courses for DMAIC and LEAN cost approximately R35000 inclusive

Answer: What if I choose to withdraw from the course?
When you enrol on one of our courses, you will agree to terms and conditions. You may withdraw from the course with no penalty up to two weeks prior to the course start date. thereafter, you will be committed to doing the course, or at very least you will be liable for the fee. If you fall ill, or there is a death in the family, you will be free to re-attend at any time in the following 3 months.

Answer: How long will it take me to complete the course?
Our Green Belt course takes one week (five days full time) for the classes, and following the course you will be required to submit a project to green belt standards. This will take you a five to ten hours a week for a couple of weeks to complete. The time frame allowed for submission of the project is 3 months.

Our Black Belt course takes two weeks (ten days full time - split over two sessions) for the classes, and following the course you will be required to submit a project to black belt standards. This will take you a five to ten hours a week for a few weeks to complete.
The time frame allowed for submission of the project is 6 months.

Answer: What are the prerequisites/do I have to take the "belts" in order?
The following people would benefit greatly from our Six Sigma training:Process engineers and managers, Quality Engineers and managers, Manufacturing/Production engineers and managers, Service Process Improvement personnel, Customer Service Officers, etc.

Pre-Requisites for Attending Six Sigma Green Belt
Theoretical or Working knowledge of Project Management principles

Pre-Requisites for Attending Six Sigma Black  Belt
Strong Statistical Background with sound knowledge of Six Sigma or Green Belt
We judge each delegate on their own experience before making a decision about whether they should attend Green belt before the black belt, or go straight to black belt. In rare cases where there has been vast pre-requisite experience in the project and engineering field, we will enrol a student directly on Black belt. Usually a student is required to attend green belt before the black belt. No experience is required before enrolling for green belt.

Answer: What are the certification requirements for Six Sigma Certification?
Students must pass a written green belt exam, which we do at the end of every course. Then a project is required to be submitted. Three months is allocated for the completion of the project. Upon passing the project, Six Sigma green belt certification is awarded.

Students must pass a written black belt exam, which we do at the end of each week of the black belt course. There are two weeks for black belt, therefore two written tests Then a project is required to be submitted. Six months is allocated for the completion of the project. Upon passing the project, Six Sigma black belt certification is awarded.

Answer: Why do you not supply Yellow Belt?
Most of the delegates meet the minimum requirements for the Green Belt. However we do offer the Yellow Belt course as an online course for those that not meet it (click here)
